Lucas is from the Japan-only game, Mother 3. It is the same franchise that Ness is from, and many believed that Lucas had replaced Ness, until he was confirmed as a character by the Dojo. They are extremely similar, with only slight differences in their moves. He is an overall good character, with great special moves.
