Ruby & Sapphire, the 3rd installment of the hand held Pokemon games, brings us to Hoenn, and introduced many new pokemon, bringing the total to 386. Some new features include:

- Natures: Natures, such as Timid, Adamant, etc, affect your pokemon's stats.
- Abilities: Abilities were created, giving different pokemon different traits.
- 2 vs. 2: 2vs2 battles were introduced, where you can battle with 2 pokemon at a time.
- Pokemon Contests: Conests were introduced, and are a good alternative when you get tired of battling.

- Ruby and Sapphire Elite 4: A guide that tells you what the Elite 4 are using this time around, and suggestions on how to beat them.
