Pokemon Emerald is the 3rd game for the Advance Generation. It is basically the same as Ruby & Sapphire, but with some major improvements:

- The Battle Frontier: Similar to the Battle Tower, except this has Fronteir Brains, basically Gym Leaders.
- 2nd Generation Pokemon: After defeating the Elite 4, 2nd Generation Pokemon becaome available for catch in the Safari Zone.
- Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre: All of these can be caught in this game.
- Gym Leader Rematches: After you beat the game, you can go back to Gym Leaders for re-matches.
- Animated Sprites: Pokemon sprites that move when they enter battle.
