Diamond & Pearl, the latest installment of the hand held Pokemon games brings us to Sinnoh, and introduced over 100 new Pokemon. It is also the first pokemon RPG on the DS. Some new features include:

- Night/Day: First introduced in GSC, the Night & Day feature has made a comeback in DP.
- Physical Special Split: Moves are now classed as Physical or Special based on their style instead of their type. For example, Thunderpunch is now physical, and Hyper Beam is now special.
- Wi-Fi: Now that WiFi has been introduced, you can battle other gamers from across the world.
- Babies: Eggs now hatch at level 1, and baby pokemon can be found in the wild.
