Pokemon Crystal is the 3rd game in the Gold & Silver series. It is very similar to Gold & Silver, but it's main Pokemon is Suicune, and it has some other differences:

- Plot centered on Suicune: Instead of being based on Lugia, or Ho-Oh, the plot is based on Suicune. Also, instead of having to search for him, like in the previous games, you encounter him and fight him directly.
- Battle Tower: The Battle Tower was introduced, a place where you can go to fight a bunch of trainers to win prizes.
- Animated Sprites: Pokemon move when they appear now.
- Move Tutors: A move tutor teaches your Pokemon Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Ice Beam.
